Out in the wild, wild world!

Sent out like sheep among wolves…

*****

I was always wondering why there are certain numbers that keep showing up in the Bible: 3, 7, 10, 24, 40… I knew about the significant of number 7 – the LORD’s perfect number. But, then I was curious about why for certain processes, number 40 was used again and again. GOD sent rain for 40 days and 40 nights in Noah’s story. Moses went up Mount Sinai to be with the LORD for 40 days and 40 nights. The LORD Jesus went to the desert for 40 days. The list is a long, long list.

In the modern world, I think there are similar practices, such as 40 days of fasting and praying and 40 days of committed time to reach certain goals. I just followed without really thinking why it had to be 40 days. Why not 30 days? 21 days? A fortnight?

Then, like many children of GOD, I reached a point in life so low that I couldn’t recognize myself and my purpose anymore. I decided to simply take the number 40 and used it as a time frame to get things right with the LORD and to let Him work on me and heal me. It’s just wonderful to see that it worked. It must be a divine calculation.

Well, anyway, after those 40 days it’s time to face the world again like a brave girl. This blog used to look like this:

Looks a bit sad, huh? Well, it was created by a depressed person who couldn’t remember what happiness had felt like.

So, now that I’m blessed with a renewed spirit, I decided to change the outlook of this blog. I’m actively living now, like the city girl I once was before the breakdown – even more improved, I hope. But, I’m also committed to write my spiritual contemplation here every seventh day . I’ve had it with losing connection with GOD. I want to stay connected to Him forever.

I sincerely hope whatever anyone finds here will be a blessing that I can share.

GOD bless!
